    SBR is an award-winning Northern California recruiting agency experienced in placing talent for direct-hire builder positions. These Sacramento candidates are seeking a new opportunity:

    Assistant Purchasing Agent – Responsible for handling trades, and processing purchase orders, back charges, change orders, and reimbursements. Maintains vendor packets and qualifications, requests for pricing and load price changes. Coordinates all paperwork for vendors. Researches and contacts needed vendors, suppliers and/or subcontractors and requests RFP/RFQ’s. Ensures that items being ordered or requested are being delivered on time from vendors and suppliers.


    Assistant Superintendent – Manages multiple small crews while ensuring a clean and safe work site by conducting safety training for employees. Provides assistance to the manager and other members of the construction team, as necessary. Determines material needs, estimated production costs, and prioritized tasks to reduce project delays. Interprets blueprints and project specifications to deliver top-notch results. Creates plans and communicates deadlines to ensure projects are completed on time.


    Vice President of Land – Responsible for a Transit Oriented Development {TOD) community, converting a 160-acre golf course to a mixed-use community of 3,450 homes dedicated to sustainable living and connected travel. Key Contribution included: secured Specific Plan and Final EIR approvals to build 3,450 multi-family homes and apartments within the TOD. Oversees Engineering, Marketing and Site Construction.  Manages the cycles of acquisition, planning, entitlements, engineering, development, guest builders, marketing and dispositions of residential, multi-family and retail/ commercial properties.


    Construction Manager – Responsible for the completion of homes, from staking the lot to delivery, building models, and training new hires. Oversees the quality of construction at various job sites. Works closely with city inspectors, trade partners, and site superintendents to make sure all homes are in compliance. Assists in land development, warranty, and orientations on several job sites. Manages subcontractors in all phases of construction, scheduling, meeting SWPPP requirements, and a variety of other construction projects.
    Purchasing Agent - Developed and maintained new home budgets, scopes of work, job specifications, purchase orders, contract modifications. Coordinated home specifications with superintendents and subcontractors. Petitioned new subcontractors and bid jobs throughout Northern California. Helped coordinate plan modifications/red lines with architectural project manager. Worked with superintendents throughout the construction cycle to make any necessary contract and specification changes. Very capable in Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, E1, and Build Pro.


    Senior Superintendent - Coordinated with managers and departments regarding plans and specifications. Inspected and approved trade partners’ work to ensure high-level workmanship in compliance with city and county requirements and building codes. Coordinated compliance with conditions of maps and occupancy. Ensured timely home completions and deliveries; committed to expertly managing safety issues within assigned communities. Ensured construction quality control. Partnered with customer care representatives on home sites’ quality and walkthrough in preparation for move-in. Over 15 years of experience in the field.


    Director of Purchasing - New community set up including Option Master, Plan Master, Lot Proceed and Offline budgets. Submitted lot start packages for processing takeoff changes, bid tools, item pricing maintenance. Prepared detailed monthly reports for analysis and review by management. Researched contract discrepancies and handle all correction/cleanup. Quarterly pricing updates & maintenance. Handled new community bid, award and contracting process. Requested new Vendor information and set up. Assisted Trade Partners with payment questions, account reconciliation and open item cleanup. Generated specifications for new communities. Researched new products and materials to update specifications as needed.


    Land Development Coordinator - Acquired and Processed documents for new Vendors and Consultants. Generated all Notice to Proceed Contracts and Change Orders for Vendors and Consultants for active communities. Communicated with the project managers about contract change requests. Generated Tracking spreadsheets for all Pre-Development communities. Processed all Check Requests for Utility Billings, Permits, and Inspector fees as requested on all communities. Produced and maintained any spreadsheets needed. Updated the project bond report.


    General Superintendent – Responsible for completion of homes from staking the lot all the way to delivery, training new hires, and building models. Manages multiple projects, Project Superintendents, field operations, quality control, and retention. Assists in land development, warranty, and orientations on several job sites. Schedules projects, writes RFI’s, attends weekly owners’ meetings,  and is in charge of daily reports. Manages subcontractors in all phases of construction, meeting SWPPP requirements, and a variety of other construction projects.


    Purchasing Manager – Assists in the preparation of the direct construction cost estimate. Processes bids and purchase orders, contacts subcontractors, and negotiates. Reviews budgets and job cost reports, tracks, and reports all rebates and is responsible for awarding, negotiating, and scopes of work for all trades. Is efficient in Build Pro, JD Edwards, Word, Excel, and many others.


    VP of Purchasing – Manages specialists and admins when the Director is away by leading weekly meetings, providing training, and mentoring. Works with design and operations to reduce option offerings at all communities. Organizes and facilitates bi-monthly conference calls specialists and agents on multiple trades. Responsible for reporting house budgets to management. Implements takeoff initiative and manages quarterly model number updates and coordinated updating takeoffs in Enterprise One.


    Director of Operations – Oversees all construction operations including product and plan development, entitlement processes with cities and municipalities, purchasing, site development and field operations for active communities and numerous pre-development stage communities. Focuses on determining and executing company objectives, process improvement, and cost control to drive financial results. Experience in building commercial, podium, tenant improvements, single family, multi family, and custom homes.
